In a recent statement, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh noted that India's defence production has seen remarkable growth, now exceeding ₹1.78 lakh crore. This is a substantial increase from approximately ₹46,000 crore just 8-9 years ago.
Singh attributed this growth to the government's focus on self-reliance in defence manufacturing, particularly following the successful execution of Operation Sindoor.
The operation has not only demonstrated India's military capabilities but has also significantly boosted confidence in indigenous defence platforms, reinforcing the commitment to 'Make in India'.
